How to pre-order Myethos MikuTutorialPrevNextPrevNext

Disclaimer : As of 09/09 she is pretty much confirmed to be China exclusive, situation is unlikely to change in the future. Pre-orders close on 31/10 so please be careful to not miss the deadline.


Here is a small guide I've compiled with all the users comments on how to pre-order ITEM #998271, since there are a lot of users who keep asking the same questions and keep getting lost due to how fast the comment section moves, I thought it would be easier to gather all the informations in one place to keep track of the content.

Please tell me right away if I've missed any information or mispread some informations, I wouldn't want to misguide any user



First of all, before looking up for a proxy, check if you actually need one :

Countries from this list will NOT need a proxy as Taobao have a domestic direct shipping option :
Hong Kong
Macau
Taiwan
Malaysia
Singapore
Australia

Making a Taobao account is pretty simple, however you WILL need to have your phone nearby since they pretty much send you a notification code every 10 minutes due to security matters. Confirm your mail as well in case you lose your phone one day, as it's very hard to get a taobao account back.

For residents of those countries, you will just have to pick the figure from the Myethos shop (item.taobao.com...), add in cart, put your address, pick a shipping option (do NOT pick the forwarding option, as there were a lot of reports of damaged packages, pick the domestic shipping option as it's generally safer and much faster, it will be written as 直送), confirm and place the order, pay with Alipay (works with any credit cards with an extra fee of 3%, for Malaysian residents the fees will be 1.5%) Please notice that this is the official Myethos' shop, therefore it does not come with any sort of bonus items.

Be careful : once the item releases you'll get a notification which tells you to pay, please be careful to the deadline of 2 weeks as they won't fullfill your order or give you the money back once past that deadline.

For those who reside in those countries and want the bonus items, here are the links and the procedure :

- Acrylic Display Case for only one extra RMB :

The first 3 categories don't matter as they're already pre-checked for you, however the first option means paying the deposit of 150 RMB + get the rights to buy the acrylic display case for 1RMB (预付定金150元（预定+1元即可购买韶华亚克力展示盒）), second option means pay the total amount right now + get the rights to buy the acrylic display case for 1RMB (预付全款（预定+1元即可购买韶华亚克力展示盒）) and third option is paying the deposit cheaper, 120 RMB instead of 150RMB, not sure what the purpose is plus you'll need to contact the taobao seller, which means you'll need to be fluent in chinese. You will not need to bother with the 3rd option.

Once you've added her in the cart, follow the same procedure as above and you'll have her ordered.

Same for above, ignore the first 2 boxes as they are pre-checked : check the 仅限预定过韶华的客户选这里 box AND the 预付全款1元（一名额限一个）box (one box limited per order). Place the order of 1RMB and pick 自行联系卖家发货 as the shipping option, as you won't need to pay shipping for it since it comes with the figure. Place the order and you're ready to go.

Notice : some banks will NOT accept any order inferior or equal to 1RMB, if this problem happens to you please contact the store through the Aliwangwang application, they will change the invoice to 2RMB and you'll need to remind them to take an extra RMB out of the final order next June.

- Life-sized fan :

Same procedure as above, however be aware that deposit is not available and you will have to pay the full amount directly.

- A3 wallscroll :

Same procedure as above, pick between 预定（没拍先拍这里）(300RMB deposit) and 预定全款（没拍先行拍这里) to pay the full price. Do NOT pick 先行补定金/先行预定全款 as you won't be guaranteed to get any in stock.

- Wall scroll based on the original ASK illustration :

Same procedure as above, please pick the deposit option for 100RMB (预定) and NOT 先行补交定金优惠39元，拍错无效, as it isn't 100% guaranteed that you will get a pre-order slot.

- Screen :

Same procedure as above, pick either the 99RMB deposit(定金99元，21年6月发售) or 79RMB deposit (补定金79元，21年6月发售) - however I recommend picking the 99RMB deposit -, click on 总价999元包邮，赠店铺特典屏风，限时尾款减39元 and place the order. The 9999RMB listing is just a reference for the case next to 总价999元包邮，赠店铺特典屏风，限时尾款减39元 (a prototype picture of the screen is shown).

For those who want the fan or the wall scroll or the screen display AND the box (you cannot pick the 4 or any other combination together), you'll have no choice but to pick the 180RMB option on the acrylic box listing, so the second link (预定总价180元，非偏远地区包邮) and the shipping for it, or put a deposit for the acrylic case (预付定金30元), even though I recommend paying directly the whole price as it will be very troublesome and your bank will charge you with fees twice instead of once.

Please notice that you'll have 20 days to confirm the order once you place and pay it, go to 已买到的宝贝 on the top bar, then click on 确认收货 on the right. You can do it manually or let taobao confirm it 20 days later, however it's better to do it by yourself.


I've noticed a lot of people using Amazon JP (www.amazon.co.j...), please be aware that the prices are inflated and 21k JPY is around 1355RMB when the taobao listing is 999RMB (both are without shipping and proxy fees).

Some useful links : www.howtotao.co..., for general non-specific taobao orders, it has a section where it details which countries accept the forwarding service and which doesn't, however PLEASE USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, as the packaging is extremely minimal (non-existent) and the delays are horrible because of the pandemic. You wouldn't want to receive a partially destroyed box and a figure whose missing its head just because you didn't use a proxy.

Each sites have their own fees and shipping calculator, please refer to them. Most of these sites will open your package to inspect on the content, if you do not wish so please write them a notice. Notice that some sites might ask for identification when paying directly, adding funds instead would be a great way to avoid it.
