Comments NEVER give up on old favorites!!!

I still have my copies that i bought back in like 2013 or something. Paid a total of $70 for both which includes tax and shipping and both were in excellent condition. I hope the remasters get a physical for the west otherwise I'm keeping my eyes on Limited Run Games or Play-Asia.

solid game, one of my favorite next to Lost Kingdoms 2

I always saw ads for this game in Nintendo Power when I was a kid and wanted to play it but I didn't own a GameCube. When I eventually got one the player one controller port didn't work. Not to mention I never even found the game sold anywhere.

Along with all the other games they announced this was a dang good direct.

I was so shocked to see they're remastering both games. I never got a chance to play Origins so it'll be fun to go through both games on an updated console.

I am a little sad to see they will only be bringing back the JP voice acting though. I was rather fond of the janky EN dub haha.

I am glad to see some older games are getting revivals, and this game seems like something my brother will play, so you may get someone else who will love this game lol. He probably already has it or did at one point, but I just don't know it lol. I'm glad your favorite is getting a re-release.

My favorite announcements lately were Rhapsody/La Pucelle Tactics getting a re-release (I never got to finish Rhapsody, and never got to play La Pucelle, so those were instant buys), and the sequels finally getting a release. I also love that Tales of Symphonia is also coming out again, as I never got to play it on the Game Cube (though that one I have to wait to buy, as I need the money for next month's order). I'm hoping the fact Rhapsody, ToS, Baten Kaitos, and Suikoden are coming out again means a re-release of Lunar 1 and 2 is coming soon. With the cut scenes from the Ps1 re-release, and hopefully songs. I had to sell both (something that hurt >_<;. But I no longer have access to a Ps1/2 anyway, and it's been so long I was afraid of finding out my data was gone), and I want to play them again so much. I'd also love to see Star Ocean 2 come out again, with the changes from the PSP one. So maybe, just maybe, there is a chance now for Lunar/Lunar 2 and So2. I'm still crossing my fingers.

Yeah I instantly recognized the silhouette and thought "oh god, no." Many apologies to the OP but I wasn't a fan of BK or origins. It was mostly the random card mechanic that got me. Never seemed to get the right card I needed, with a KO'ed character had to wait turn after turn for the "resurrect card." Sigh, bad memories.

I also instantly recognized the two musical tracks in the trailer. Dark conviction and valedictory elegy. Any music lovers who may not be interested in Nintendo/switch/this game you should check out these tracks: Chaotic Dance, Divine White Bell, Poacher (BKO), True Mirror Orchestral (BKO), and Dark Conviction are my favorite tracks. :)

Had an old friend who used to rave about this series, so probably gonna cop this game as well. Alongside the etrian odyssey news and layton news, the latest nin direct was the best one in years. I'm finally convinced that it's time to buy a switch...

What I have seen in the trailer definitely didn't hype me. The universe looks decent but the card system turning every battle into an RNG makes me scared. I love JRPG but having to rely on luck to even do what you want to do seems like a nightmare to me so I'll probably pass.
I'm still glad we are seeing more old school JRPGs though.
I'd love a Dragon Quest VIII remake, a remaster for Eternal Sonata etc... I'm still sad they are giving us a bad remaster for Tales Of Symphonia which definitely deserved a complete remake...
