I don't own the figure, but some people mentioned having a problem like in (which is from [url=]this review). I really wanted a Megumin figure and this one is my favourite of hers, so I preordered it a while ago, but really hoped the issue would get fixed. I'm glad your rereleased one doesn't have any QA issues! Mine will arrive in a while since I'm using surface though.Ah, I see now what the problem is, thank you for the reference photo. And yes, I can confirm that the piece I received does not have a problem like this. I hope that the one you'll get won't either, and that she will be worth the wait. Similarly to you this has got to be one of my favourite figurines of Megumin so far as well.
I'm unsure what the problem with the previous version was, but I recently received this new re-release version and I don't see anything wrong in regard to what you mentioned. Index finger of her left hand "touches" her hat, effectively being glued together in terms of material this figurine is made of, but there is no roughness to speak of. Looks and feels perfectly smooth in touch. Unless you want to jab under her finger but it's not like I can squeeze even paper-thin thing under there.
Not sure if this is relevant but notably this figurine came with different stand than in the promotional photos. Instead of thin transparent disc, her stand is actually thicker opaque black slanted-disc type of stand. Though truth to be told, it looks really good with this Megumin.
I absolutely adore this figurine overall. It looks amazing, the design is beautiful and the make is very detailed, down to little things like Megumin's fingernails being distinct from rest of her hands. And I love how much of an "action shot" this one is, with Megumin's cape seemingly blowing in the wind.
